“I’m a 35-year-old stay-at-home mother of two children who had never before exercised consistently. I reached my heaviest weight during my first pregnancy, topping out on the scale at 215 pounds. During my second pregnancy, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. The diet I followed to manage my diabetes helped manage my weight; but once I delivered my son and the diabetes disappeared, so did my dedication to eating better. And the weight I lost after that pregnancy came back as quickly as all the pounds before.
Like many women, I always admired others for their dedication to being fit and healthy. I had always wished and hoped for the same for myself, but I could never get organized to get fit on my own. Never having been an athlete, and not growing up in a home with a focus on physical fitness, I slogged through whenever I did get the chance to workout. My personal drive wasn’t there, and I had basically given up and resigned myself to always being out of shape. I hated summer and dreaded having to sweat it out in capris or jeans while it seemed like everyone around me was far more comfortable in their skirts and shorts.
Before training with Christin, I had no consistent fitness routine. I wanted to be a better example to my kids, to run around at the park and play without having to stop and rest every 5 minutes. Since I began training with Christin in August, I have dropped thirty pounds –from 184 to 154 –and gone from a size 14 to a size 8/10. I never, ever thought I would have made as much progress as I have this quickly! My main goal that I used as a focus point in the beginning:the ability to do one pull-up unassisted. I have attained that goal plus some, which makes me feel like a superstar!
Christin has inspired me to do better for myself, and for that I am eternally grateful. My experience training with her has been more than I could have ever hoped for; her encouragement, knowledge, and personality have gotten me through when I would rather have just thrown in the towel. She has helped me believe in myself and given me the desire to reach my full potential! Six months ago, I preferred to sleep as late as possible and my idea of a good workout was fifteen minutes on the elliptical machine. I never could have imagined I would be running laps around the parking lot voluntarily, doing burpees at 5:00 AM, or going all out for 45 minutes in a row with minimal breaks.With the right support and an awesome fitness program, Christin has helped me make a lifestyle change that has me on the road to reaching my dream goals.”
